Lunch Bunch – Tim’s Lighthouse

HILLS AND DALE ESTATE & GARDEN TOUR & LUNCH BUNCH

TIME: We will meet at Sam’s Club at 8:30 for an 8:45 departure to Hills & Dales

LUNCH: Reservation are at 1:00 p.m. at The Nutwood Winery Restaurant & Wine Bar

We have booked .and are expected to arrive by 10:00 a.m. for guided tour with the Hills & Dales Estate in LaGrange, Georgia, to see the beautiful 1916 Neel Reid designed Callaway family home and mid-19th century Ferrell Gardens. The tour will include an orientation film, estate tour and garden tour and will take about 2.5 hours. We will be split into groups of 12 for the tours. The price per person is $23.

NOTE FOM THE VENUE:
Please note that the Callaway family home does not have an elevator, so only the first floor is accessible for those with mobility issues. We do have scrapbooks showing pictures of the second and third floors that can be utilized by those unable or unwilling to venture upstairs. The paths of the historic Ferrell Gardens are mostly pea gravel, which is also difficult for wheelchairs to use. Please let me know if you think there will be any issues with mobility. We also do not allow photography inside the home, but encourage it in the gardens.

We will follow up with a short drive (1.5 miles) for lunch at the Nutwood Winery Restaurant & Wine Bar at 300 Main Street in LaGrange, GA 30240. Our reservation is for 1 p.m. Parking will be available behind the Wild Leap Brewery building

We will end our tour at the Dairy Queen for some refreshing ice cream before heading back to our prospective homes.
