Both Mike and Gwyneth Shotwell grew up in Southern California. Mike graduated from the USC School of Architecture in 1966, and Gwyneth from UCLA in 1975. After graduation, Mike served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Venezuela, followed by 50 years of private architectural practice … the last 25 spent as a forensic architect/expert witness.  Mike and Gwyneth worked as a team, raising their two daughters and running their business. Mike’s love of Model A’s began at age 13 (1955) when he bought his first Model A for $50. In 2009, they moved to Georgia and became even more deeply involved in the antique car collecting world which has become an important part of their social lives. Mike is the past National President of the A400 Model A (Convertible Sedan) Group and Gwyneth is a board member and newsletter editor for the Southside A’s which has received numerous national honors including the MARC Newsletter of the Year. The Shotwell’s have restored several cars including four Model A’s, and two late prewar Packard’s which they show at regional and national events.
